as it is knowing he’s not coming back to radio honestly I can’t blame
him for saying no. Radio is very demanding, and he’s got a wife, and
Coast 2 Coast AM has become rather stale the last few years. I’ve all but stopped listening really the last few months, and don’t miss it much. Art Bell returning to radio would be amazing, and sure we all want it but he’s not getting any younger, and he’s got a family he wants to spend time with. Cannot blame him one bit.
After two, and a half years the epic talk show hosted by Outtasite, and Tha Jackal has aired it’s final show. That final show was on March 19, 2013 soon after the host Outtasite accepted an offer to move his show to another network that’s starting up. We wish him nothing but the best, and will miss his show Tuesday nights the show had a lot of high points like having on the real Rick Ross! Then a low point when Tha Jackals headset didn’t work, and he wasn’t being heard by anyone on the show so he couldn’t ask Rick Ross anything on air. Even though he’s the one who really wanted to interview him, and did all the leg work to book him for the show.

Another good time was when Samantha Serrano joined the show as a co host, and then that was followed by the beef with the Pow WOW over Samantha Serrano being on the show. Mind you she was on Outtasite Radio first! They still got butt hurt over it, and made all kinds of retarded accusations on facebook, and on their show. Jackal entertained beefing with them on air but Samantha talked him down, and then it got worse when Scott Tanner put his foot in his mouth, and insulted Samantha on air, and which she ended up quitting the show, and eventually her friendship with Jackal, and Outtasite became non existent due to again the morons on the poo poo show.

But I’d say the highlight of the entire run of Outtasite Radio was having on Thin C, and legendary rapper Layzie Bone from Bone Thugs/Mo Thugz on for what could only be called an epic interview. Without a doubt a memory that will never fade in the minds of all listening.

Outtasite Radio was a good show with potential for greatness… Sadly it never reached it’s greatness, and we could point fingers all day but the sad truth is that Outtasite has moved on, and will now be heard on another station somewhere online someday soon. Outtasite offered Jackal a gig as co host but was turned down due to loyalty to PSN RADIO/SoFlo Radio which are the only stations he wants to be on.

So once again with a lot of love we would like to wish Outtasite the very best on his future endevours, and hope his next show reaches the level it didn’t on PSN RADIO.

For fans of the show all the archives will be kept on the show’s main page.

As long time, and original host of the show Unraveling the Secrets, and co creator of the Soup Media Network Rick Osmon has decided to move on from his position in the company effective as of February 17th.

He officially stepped down from his position as co-host on the show, and partner on the network so he could work on his other show on another local station in Indiana.

He will no longer be a member of the show Unraveling the Secrets in any form… From now on Mike Mott, and Tim Swartz will host the show together.

A quick look at how the network began. It all started back in 2009 after talking about opening a online radio station together Angel Espino, Jamie Havican, Rick Osmon and Dennis Crenshaw, all got together, and thought up the idea for Soup Media Network.

But after a couple of weeks Jamie left due to reasons which have never been made fully clear by anyone other then it having something to do with an argument over a chat room on xat??

Fed up with tech issues, and other personal issues eventually Dennis retired, and left the show Unraveling the Secrets, and the network as an owner.

He has stayed away from the network for the most part, and now spends his time promoting the website “The Hallow Earth Insider.”

And just this week now Rick Osmon has left his position on the show as well as on the network due to personal reasons which have not been disclosed yet but we hear it has something to do with Drop Box???

Either way with his leaving the company it now looks like only one man remains, and it’s the one who actually build the network sites, and was behind creating the network to begin with. So everything falls on the hands of Angel Espino as main owner, and only owner. That we know off now… When asked for comments Angel said “First thing as a company we will be looking into restructuring some parts of the company, and might have to do away with Soup Media Network. As for P.S.N Radio? Well Who knows.

We don’t know yet. We have been talking about this for months now, and as time moves on it becomes more, and more clear that Soup Media Network just didn’t work as conceived. The other guys who started the network with me all pretty much jumped ship, and didn’t come thru with their part of the plan we laid out originally, and really dropped the ball.

PSN RADIO is it’s own entity, and we love working together on that network, and with all the shows on there now we look forward to helping them continue to grow into the future. But there are still a lot of things up in the air which will be addressed soon.”

When he asked who is this “We” he replied with “some folks who you know who might join me as owner.” He wouldn’t tell us more so at least for now we are told that everything is going to continue to run as normal.

Until further notice.

We spoke about this possible leaked news yesterday on the show “The Answer to movie troll insanity” which airs on www.psn-radio.com on 9pm est. We discussed this, and we all agreed that this was probably for the best but we all were sort of disappointed at it because we were expecting him to be true to his word which was that he wasn’t going to do the movie. But it turns out the joke is on us! Because as Disney has released the news is out now, and yes he will direct it, and even was quoted on the major move.

I Have recently become a fan of the show Dr. Who over the last couple of months at the advise of some friends who told me that I needed to watch this show that it would be something I liked. I have heard from many people about the show over the years, and I had seen some of the older episodes pre the 2005 relaunch, and to be honest I had never been very impressed with the series.

But there is something to say about what has been done with this new series which now enters it’s very special 50th anniversary show. While they do a special every year, and they seem to always pay tribute to the show’s origins some how. This year it will be something very special as wired.com has reported the following.

As of today Steven Moffat has confirmed that he is completing a script that will feature the current Doctor, Matt Smith, facing a foe so great that he will need assistance from all ten of the previous TARDIS inhabitants. That’s right, rumors say Eccleston is in!!! The producers have gotten agreements from all living actors who have ever played the Doctor; Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, and Matt Smith. With some studio special effects they have even resurrected William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, and Jon Pertwee.

This is awesome news for anyone who’s a fan of the series, and like myself a fan of the current show mostly. It’s going to be very near to see actors “Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, and Matt Smith” all on the screen together.

I think it was mostly the charisma of Eccleston that won me over, and made me a fan early on in the first season, and I was very disappointed to find out he only did one season before being replaced by David Tennant who to his credit really did a fine job in the role himself, and only took about 3 or 4 episodes for me to accept him as the new Doctor, and again when he was replaced I was a bit disappointed. But that’s the thing about the show. As a fan one must get used to the change of the Doctor, and accept it, and move on. This show can last forever literally since they can simply regenerate the doctor into a new body after a few seasons with a main actor.

Having the older actors on the show again should be a lot of fun! I Don’t know how they are going to pull this off but this sounds like a really epic way to celebrate the 50th birthday of the Doctor.

Now I’ve heard the rumblings that Matt Smith wants to leave the show soon due to the overload of work he’s having to put in to make the show. He’s been a lot of fun as the Doctor in a comedic way, and has slowly grown on me. They all have brought their own quality, and charisma to the show, and while many many fans miss David Tennant who seems to be the main fan favorite of the new 3 Doctors it’s Christopher Eccleston who I’m most excited to see return for the special. I hope this isn’t some cheesy scene on the computer where they flash scenes from past episodes tho. That would be lame. I can’t wait to see the rest of this season, and see what happens, and if Matt Smith makes it all the way past it, and comes back.

Either way make sure you don’t miss this season when it picks back up.

So Guillermo Del Toro becomes the latest director to turn down STAR WARS EPISODE VII which shouldn’t shock many as a lot of directors which the fanboys want are the type of people who like to “Create” their own universes, and like to develop films which haven’t been done before or take adaptaions to the big screen on properties which haven’t been touched like Del Toro, and Hellboy.

With that said I’m as big a Del Toro fan as any, and have always wanted to see what he could do in
the Star Wars or Lord of the Rings universe. We almost got to see him Direct the Hobbit but Peter Jackson eventually got his hands on that property.

But Star Wars was the one which always seemed more up Del Toros alley. So it came with sad news to hear that he has turned down the next Star Wars movie due out in 2015.

Del Toro admits that he was indeed offered the job, but had to turn it down due to having so much on his plate already. However, he does give the name of the man he would love to see take the reigns instead.

“We got one phone call to my agent saying, ‘Is Guillermo interested?’ And basically
I have so much stuff already of my own, and I’m pursuing stuff that I’m generating already..It was very flattering. It was just a phone call, it didn’t go past that, it was very nice to be asked, but believe it or not, I’m busy enough.”

Del Toro said. “As a geek, I would have loved to see Brad Bird take it.” for those who are not familiar with Bird’s work he was the director on Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol
which most fans agree was an excellent film in a series which had lost some of it’s luster with the third movie. He’s also responsible for such great animations as “Ratatouille” and “ The Iron Giant” Bird would seem to be a nice fit for the Star Wars universe.

Now I don’t know if Disney wants one director for the trilogy or if they will have different directors for each film. I would rather see the later myself.

While Bird would be a good fit, and a good suggestion he does seem to have some other projects in the way one with George Clooney called 1952 (pre-production) and another called 1906 (pre-production) I think the movie names being years might just be an odd coincidence.

But either way he has two movies in pre production, and might not be available to get a major motion picture like Star Wars off the ground in the next two years. Which is what is needed.

The director I personally think would be the best choice is Matthew Vaughn who made the only X men movie I’ve enjoyed to date. X-Men: Days of Future Past and sadly took himself out of the directors chair for the sequel in a very odd, and mysterious way. Almost as if to make sure he’s available
for another project which might come his way that is bigger then X MEN.

He’s also the man who brought us Kick-Ass, and Layer Cake both great movies. He’s done very good work in his few directing gigs he’s impressed a lot of people. I think something as big as Star Wars is
right up his alley.

It’s becoming clear that the Star Wars franchise may be more challenging than Disney had originally thought.. At least finding a director!

First, J.J. Abrams passed on taking on the role of director, he announced he was sticking with Star Trek out of loyalty to that series. And not that they called him, but Quentin Tarantino wasn’t too interested either. Honestly neither of those two would have been right anyway so it’s no loss. But there is a good list of candidates still out there with Matthew Vaughn right on top of my list.

Another good candidate available other then Matthew Vaughn or Brad Bird would have to be Iron Man (2008) director Jon Favreau who also like Vaughn, and Bird would be an ideal choice. His history would seem to show us that he can take on epic films like Star Wars, and deliver a great movie.

So the force is strong with us right now… Only time will tell who will end up getting the gig but whoever it is better be ready for his or her life to change forever. Star Wars is bigger then any other movies. This is why I’m not shocked so many are passing on it.

2015 cannot get here quick enough… So who would you like to see in the directors chair?

First off I want to say that I am a fan of J.R.R. Tolkien, and own the books, dvds, blu rays, and a few other items as a fan of the universe he created, and Peter Jackson brought to life on the big screen.

While yes I am a bigger Star Wars fan then I am Lord of the Rings fan I will say that as books go Tolkien’s work is priceless, and while I was extremely excited for the past few years about this movie. Last time I remember being this hyped up about any film I would have to go back to the Fellowship of the Rings which was a very good movie that did everything it had to do just right. But I don’t think I’ve been this let down in more then a decade.

I mean I think maybe the sequel to the Matrix was a bigger let down for me then this but not by much. Not by much at all. In fact this movie is so bad at times that one has to wonder if it was made bad on purpose out of some grudge being held by Peter Jackson for all the shenanigans that went on for years with the studios, and him concerning this trilogy.

There is a long dark history attached to getting the Hobbit to the big screen, and to be honest It’s almost as if this was his way to pay the studio back for anything they put him through. It’s about the only thing which makes sense unless we consider that Peter Jackson isn’t the master Director some nerds have pegged him to be since he wrapped up the Rings trilogy.

But to the root of the matter this movie fails to capture the heart of Tolkien’s characters, and the main issue with it is the slow pace the movie suffers from. This is due to the movie being stretched out to three pictures was a bad idea. This has become clear after watching this first movie. Now we have 2 more movies to go.

The film suffers from terrible character development, and it all starts with the Dwarves who were not developed as characters at all compared to LOTR where u got to know, and like each of the characters. [Continue]

Now after a couple of months we finally have word that indeed Blue Sky Disney has reported that the Dark Horse license is up after 2013, and will not be renewed which means it will revert back to Marvel who originally carried the Star Wars comic book line before Dark Horse which has now published Star Wars comics for over 20 years.

This report indicates that Marvel will begin publishing Star Wars comics (again) in 2015, when Star Wars Episode 7 premieres. “If accurate, that would give some time for Dark Horse to sell down its inventory and to clear the channel of Dark Horse Star Wars products before Marvel’s start shipping.” – John Wilson

After Star Wars leaves Dark Horse does have some decent prospects which could become the focal point of the company some are “cash cows” but nothing like Star Wars. They do have two films based on Frank Miller comics are scheduled to release in 2013: Sin City 2 is shooting for a release in August, and the sequel to 300 is scheduled to release in October.

So there you have it folks. It looks like Disney/Marvel will be the home of Star Wars comics which really brings everything full circle since as pointed out Marvel who once published Star Wars was bought by Disney which then bought Lucasfilms, and now they are all under one umbrella.

It Simply cannot be said enough that 2015 cannot get here quick enough! As a Star Wars fan I personally cannot wait until we have more movies. The comic universe can only get better moving to a bigger house like Marvel. I love Dark Horse but this move makes sense for further stabilizing, and cashing in with the future of the Star Wars universe being a major cash cow. Disney paid a good 4.06Billion for the company with Star Wars being at the center of their purchase so you can’t blame Disney for wanting to put together the best way for them to bring back some of that money quickly.
